The DSType released the book “A Letra Portuguesa: Instrumento para o conhecimento da caligrafia nacional, sua história e autores fundamentais” (The Portuguese Letter: Instrument for knowledge of national calligraphy, its history and key authors). Project from type designer Dino dos Santos, the book is an important document to better understand the History of letter design in Portugal. Book available only in Portuguese.

The Type Directors Club elected their favorite typefaces of 2015. A Portuguese typeface, “Signo” from Rui Abreu was awarded.

Hello everybody!

We’ve been crazy busy the past 9 months, planning, traveling and filming all over the Portugal, meeting some amazing people, and collecting nice footage. We’ve been also colleting the necessary material, like book, magazines, type specimens, newspapers, etc., so we can illustrate the designer’s contribution!
We’re now reviewing these footages in order to go to the hard, but nice, step: the editing!
